Phone Numbers
Buy a phone number, connect it to one of your AI agents, and it starts answering calls automatically — no setup or forwarding to configure.
How it works
Open Phone Numbersfrom the sidebar. You'll see two sections: the numbers your workspace already owns at the top, and a search tool below for finding and buying new ones. Every number is billed to your workspace and, once assigned to an agent, picks up incoming calls on its own.
1. Search for a number
In the buy panel, narrow down what you want:
- Country — pick from US, CA, GB, or AU.
- Area code — optional. Type a local area code to get a number that looks local to the customers you serve.
- Contains— optional. Enter digits or a pattern you'd like the number to include, such as a memorable sequence.
Press Searchand we'll list the available numbers that match, along with their location and whether they support voice and SMS.
2. Buy the number
Found one you like? Press Buy next to it. The number is added to your workspace right away and moves into your list of owned numbers.
3. Assign it to an agent
Each number in your list has an agent dropdown. Choose the AI agent you want to answer calls on that number, and the connection is saved instantly — there's nothing else to wire up.
Want to move a number to a different agent later? Reopen the dropdown and pick another one. Set it back to No agent to stop it from answering while you keep the number.
4. Release a number
Done with a number? Press Release next to it. This gives the number up so it no longer belongs to your workspace and stops any recurring charges for it.
