Outbound & SMS

Your workspace can reach out, not just answer. Place a single outbound call, send text and email blasts to many contacts at once, and keep it all inside guardrails that respect your callers and the law.

Place a single outbound call

Open Outbound from the sidebar and fill in the New Call form. Every call needs someone to reach and something to say:

  • Phone number or contact — type the number to dial, or search your saved contacts and pick a person.
  • Agent — choose which AI agent handles the call (for example your front desk, sales, or support agent).
  • Caller ID— pick which of your numbers shows up on the other person's phone.
  • Call typeAI lets the agent handle the whole conversation, while Human connects the call to a person on your team.
  • Purpose — tag the reason, such as Follow-up, Appointment Reminder, Lead Outreach, or a custom purpose, so the agent knows the goal and your history stays organized.

Press Start Call and the call is placed. Finished calls show up in Recent Calls with the contact, agent, duration, and status. When a call was recorded, you can play it back from that list.

TipUse an AI call for routine outreach like reminders and follow-ups, and a Humancall when the conversation needs a person's judgment.

Safety controls

Outbound calling comes with built-in guardrails so you stay respectful and compliant. You set these once and every outbound call obeys them:

  • Allowed calling hours — a start and end time (in your time zone) that outbound calls are permitted, so nobody is called too early or too late.
  • Do-Not-Call list — numbers you add here are blocked and will never be dialed, whether by a single call or a campaign.
  • Max attempts — a cap on how many times the same contact can be called per day, so a follow-up never turns into repeated calls.
ImportantYou are responsible for having a lawful basis and consent to contact the people you call or text. Keep your Do-Not-Call list current, honor opt-out requests promptly, and stay within the calling hours and contact rules that apply in your area. The safety controls help, but compliance is ultimately up to you.

Run a campaign

When you need to reach many contacts at once, use Campaigns. A campaign sends the same outreach to a whole list. There are three kinds:

  • Call Blast — an AI agent places a call to every contact on the list.
  • SMS Blast — a text message goes out to every contact.
  • Email Blast — an email goes out to every contact.

For SMS and email blasts you write a message template once. You can drop in placeholders like {name} and {time} that get filled in per contact, so each person gets a message that reads as if it were written just for them.

  1. 1
Open Campaigns and click Create Campaign.
  2. 2
Give it a name and pick the type: Call, SMS, or Email blast.
  3. 3
Write your message template, using placeholders where you want per-contact details.
  4. 4
Save it as a draft, then Startthe campaign when you're ready.

Campaign status

Each campaign moves through a simple lifecycle you can see at a glance:

  • Draft — created but not sending yet. Edit it freely.
  • Scheduled — set to begin at a future time.
  • Running — actively sending, with live progress toward the total.
  • Paused — temporarily stopped; you can resume it later.
  • Completed — every contact has been reached.
  • Canceled — stopped for good and will not send again.

From the campaign list you can start, pause, resume, or cancel a campaign, and watch how many messages have been sent and delivered as it runs.

NoteCampaigns respect the same safety controls as single calls. Contacts on your Do-Not-Call list are skipped, and call blasts stay within your allowed calling hours.
